The Pyxis Mobile executive team is comprised of professionals with extensive experience and expertise in the investment management and wireless technology industries. These individuals have worked directly with many of the world's largest financial services firms.
Robert Mazzarella has over 33 years experience in the securities industry and more than 18 years at Fidelity Investments. Before he retired from Fidelity Investments in February, 2002 he was president of Fidelity Brokerage Services LLC. During his tenure at Fidelity, he was also president of Fidelity’s Institutional Brokerage Group which included Fidelity Capital Markets, correspondent clearing services, Registered Investment Advisor services, and market data distribution services.
Mr. Mazzarella joined Fidelity in 1983 as vice president of client services for National Financial Correspondent Services. He is now serving on the boards of Placemark Investments, an RIA in Wellesley, Massachusetts, M & O, Inc., a technology firm providing database services to financial firms, Siebert Financial Corporation, a public financial services firm. He chairs the Boston Options Exchange Regulatory Board and is a member of the Board of the Boston Stock Exchange.
Todd Christy is the co-founder, President and CTO of Pyxis Mobile, responsible for Product Development and corporate strategy. Todd has extensive experience architecting wireless software systems for some of the world's largest companies. He has more than 15 years of experience in the Financial Services sector, working primarily with global asset managers, banks, and insurance companies. He has worked with many leading financial institutions, delivering enterprise-class wireless solutions to meet their mobile computing needs. Todd is regularly called upon to speak at industry events and conferences and is often sought for comment regarding technology trends in the financial services industry (e.g., Wall Street Journal, Washington Post). Todd is a member of the NICSA Technology Committee, and sits on Research In Motion's ISV Advisory Council.
Prior to founding Pyxis Mobile, Todd was a senior technology manager in Accenture's Financial Services division. There Todd focused on the management and implementation of technology projects, leading large teams of clients and consultants through complex system engagements.
Todd was awarded Institutional Investor's "Online Finance 40" distinction in 2008, and was recognized by Boston Business Journal as one of the “Top 40 Under 40” business leaders in Boston. Under his direction Pyxis Mobile was twice honored as one of Boston's Best Places to Work. Todd holds a B.S. degree in Computer Engineering from Brown University.
Vic Pierni is Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Pyxis Mobile, responsible for all of the Company’s financial, legal and administrative activities, which include strategic finance, treasury, accounting, reporting, risk management, and financial controls as well as human resources, facilities management and office administration. Mr. Pierni brings more than 15 years of financial management and mergers and acquisitions experience within the financial services and technology sectors.
Mr. Pierni joins Pyxis Mobile from financial services technology provider ITG Solutions Network (formerly The Macgregor Group, Inc.) where he was CFO. While at Macgregor, Mr. Pierni was instrumental in developing the Company’s finance infrastructure to support its rapid growth culminating in the Company’s $250 million acquisition by ITG (NYSE: ITG) in 2006.
Prior to Macgregor, Mr. Pierni was Director of Business Integration at CMGI where he directed multi-disciplinary functional teams through planning, implementation & post-merger activities. Mr. Pierni began his career at KPMG where he held various senior positions in the audit and transaction services groups from 1990 through 2000. During this tenure, Mr. Pierni directed numerous merger and acquisition advisory projects for private equity and strategic acquisition clients.
Mr. Pierni, a CPA, earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College and a Master of Business Administration from Babson College.
T.L. Neff is the Executive Vice President of Client Services, responsible for establishing the strategic direction and future vision for mPlatform. Since joining Pyxis in 2001, T.L. has provided the visionary leadership in establishing mPlatform and Pyxis Mobile as the wireless software leader within the Financial Services Industry. He also manages the Professional Services Group which provides implementations, consulting services, training and customer support for mPlatform. T.L. continues to expand the service delivery capabilities of the PSG team into new solution areas and geographies.
Prior to Pyxis Mobile, T.L. held a diverse set of positions across a wide range of technology and investment management business segments, with extensive management experience at Thomson Financial and Accenture. T.L. has also worked at Evergreen Investments, and State Street Research and Management with over 15 years of financial services experience. He holds a B.A. degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts , Amherst .
Christopher Willis is Executive Vice President in charge of Marketing & Strategic Alliances. In this role, he oversees the company's corporate marketing strategy and initiatives, including lead generation, positioning, publicity, events, alliances and a full array of marketing operations. Overseeing both traditional marcom as well as strategic alliances, Mr. Willis leverages his 15 years of experience in the financial services software and solutions arena to achieve his business objectives.
Prior to joining Pyxis Mobile, Mr. Willis was employed as Director of Strategic Alliances for the KPMG-Cambridge Technology division of KPMG Netherlands managing relationships with global hardware manufacturers and software developers. Further background includes work at Cambridge Technology Group, cBridge Internet Solutions and Bank of Tokyo.
Mr. Willis is active within a number of financial services industry groups dedicated to growth and health of the industry he serves, including NICSA, NAVA, SPARK and NAILBA. He graduated with a B.A. in English, Theatre and Philosophy from Gettysburg College.
James MacDonald is Executive Vice President of Sales, responsible for the Company’s direct sales activities. He brings more than 25 years of enterprise software sales experience, including 14 years in sales management, to Pyxis Mobile. Prior to joining in January of 2008, Mr. MacDonald managed the direct and indirect (SAP) sales channels at pricing application provider Vendavo, developed a software-as-a-service business strategy for Iron Mountain and was a global account manager at Oracle Corporation. In addition to financial services, his experience includes high tech, manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries. Mr. MacDonald holds a BS in Mathematics and Computer Science from Fairfield University and professional certificates from Stanford University and the University of California.
